Tacos La Carreta
About This Spot
Stepping up to Tacos La Carreta feels like slipping into a familiar rhythm of the city—unpretentious, welcoming, and alive with the pulse of shared, late-night cravings. This small but vibrant spot on Spring Mountain Road doesn’t shout for attention; instead, it quietly draws in those who know that the real treasures in Las Vegas often come in modest packages. The atmosphere hums with a relaxed energy, where chatter and the sizzle of fresh tortillas on the grill blend into the evening air.
Here, each taco is more than just a bite—it’s a warm invitation to a classic street food experience, hearty and thoughtfully made. The flavors invite you to linger: from the smoky, tender al pastor dancers on freshly pressed corn tortillas, to the rich, savory surprises tucked inside tacos filled with chorizo, lengua, or even crispy, golden tacos dorados. The menu unfolds like a local’s diary, with dishes that echo memories of late hours spent among friends, spontaneous stops after nights out, and simple joys found in familiar tastes.
The pace is unhurried, yet there’s a steady flow of neighbors and night owls who know the place as a small sanctuary from the bustle. Friendly faces behind the counter match the easy-going vibe, serving meals that feel handcrafted—fresh, unpolished, and sincere. Here, the small details count: from the comforting warmth of a handmade horchata to the satisfying crunch of a perfectly fried sope.
More than a quick stop for a late-night fix, this is a place threaded with nostalgia and community—a reminder that some of the best local experiences happen in the humblest settings, where food is a shared story and atmosphere is found not in decor, but in genuine moments between people.

We found this spot on a whim we were still hungry looking for something to eat but I am so glad that we came across this little gem!!! Their food beats everything out here for Mexican food no exaggeration!!! It is a must when you're out here don't let the cart fool you the food is authentic and fresh I didn't get to take a picture of the tacos before they were gone but they're enchilada it's only $2 and the best thing I have tried in a long timeee!!!!

This taco truck is basically filled with nostalgia for me and to me some of the best tacos in Vegas. I literally used to come here whenever I was drunk or closing a great night out with friends and this place would always hit the spot. I love the tacos, I love the quesadillas, I very much just love this place. It used to be open super late but I guess that changed but either way I’m sure it’s still amazing like always.

Best authentic taco place HANDS DOWN. I’m from Cali, so far this is the only taco joint that really took me by surprise. The prices are good too! Horchata is also handmade and THE BEST IN VEGAS. I crave it every time
